About the Job

A Mechanical Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, installing, operating, and maintaining mechanical systems, machinery, and equipment. The role involves applying engineering principles to improve manufacturing processes, optimize equipment performance, reduce operational costs, and ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards.

1. Design and Development

• Design mechanical components, equipment, and systems using engineering principles and industry standards.
• Prepare engineering drawings, specifications, layouts, and technical documentation.
• Develop and evaluate prototypes and improve existing mechanical systems.

2. Production and Operations

• Monitor manufacturing and production processes to ensure efficient operation.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.
• Coordinate with production teams to resolve technical issues and enhance productivity.

3. Maintenance and Reliability

• Plan and supervise preventive and breakdown maintenance activities.
• Analyze equipment failures and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Ensure optimum performance and reliability of machinery and utility systems.

4. Project Management

• Assist in the planning, execution, and commissioning of engineering projects.
• Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and internal departments.
• Monitor project schedules, budgets, and quality requirements.

5. Technical Skills Required

• Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and practices.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, or other design software.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes, machine design, and maintenance systems.
• Knowledge of pumps, compressors, boilers, HVAC systems, conveyors, and industrial machinery.
• Familiarity with quality management systems and preventive maintenance techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
